INFO E APPROFONDIMENTI
The international workshop “Co-creation Perspective of Archaeological Conservation Proposals (Italy-UK).The Sardinian Nuragic Heritage and its sacred and life values” explores the nuragic heritage of Sardinia in its various components, including nuraghi, funerary, and sanctuary areas, with a focus on restoration strategies, accessibility, material and structural conservation, interpretation, values assessment, protection, and musealisation. In particular, the three main case studies are the Nuraghe Genna Maria, the Giant’s Tomb of Sa Domu ‘e s’Orcu and the Sanctuary of Santa Vittoria.
All design activities will be grounded in a rigorous theoretical understanding of the sites cultural significance and associated values. The primary aim is to enable students to develop co-creative problem-solving skills by working in international and interdisciplinary teams through immersive, cross-disciplinary experiences, including lectures, study visits, workshops and debates.
The workshop will therefore provide participants with a holistic and integrated understanding of heritage conservation within the specific context of Sardinian archaeology while offering a valuable opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and skills between UK and Italian students.
